MINUTES OF THE SPECIAL MEETING OF THE PROSPECT HEIGHTS PUBLIC LIBRARY DISTRICT BOARD OF TRUSTEES HELD DECEMBER 4, 2010
I. CALL TO ORDER/ROLL CALL
The special meeting of the Board of Trustees of the Prospect Heights Public Library was called to order at 10:15 a.m.
Roll Call: Present: Trustees Lahey, Penick, Peterson, Purcell, Yager
Absent: Trustee Berman
Also Present: Executive Director McCully, Marianne Kerr
II. BOARD VACANCY
Trustees interviewed Mrs. Kerr and Ralph Kendall (11:15) for appointment to fill the term of office vacated by Charles Everett. Candidates left the meeting after their individual interviews. The appointment will be made for the period ending April 5, 2011 - the date of the next election. They would be eligible to run for the remainder of the term (2 years).
Trustee Peterson moved, seconded by Trustee Penick, to hold an Executive Session to discuss the candidates' qualifications. All in favor.
Executive Session ended and regular meeting resumed at 12:06 p.m. Trustee Peterson moved, seconded by Trustee Yager, to decide the appointment by majority vote. All in favor. The vote was 3 for Ralph Kendall and 2 for Marianne Kerr.
III. ADJOURNMENT
There being no further business to be brought before the Board, the meeting was adjourned at 12:10 p.m.
