Living Green Series

Building and Remodeling Green
Tuesday, April 22, 7:00 pm
Celebrate Earth Day by learning how to go Green on your next home improvement project. Experts from the home building and interior design communities, David McNulty, CKD, Scott Sevon GMB, CGR, CAPS, CGP, and Mike Nagle CGR, CAPS, will offer advice and strategies for building and remodeling using high performance and energy efficient products. Topics will include Green kitchen and bath materials from cabinetry, countertops and flooring to plumbing, lighting and tiles. Construction practices will cover optimizing solar energy, insulation, water recovery, and Greener construction techniques. This program is part of our <b>Living Green</b> series. Please register.

Training to be Top Dog, Tuesday, April 8, 7:00 pm

Guide your pet to good behavior. Chicago animal training expert Alex Brooks of the Midwest Canine Center will show us how to read and understand a dog's body language and how to calm your dog's mind and control his energy level. Other topics include how to select a new puppy, which breeds tend to make the best pets, and how to adopt a shelter dog. Chicago athletes such as Michael Jordan and Scottie Pippen have called upon Alex for the training of their pets and even Hollywood has tapped Alex's talents by having him train dogs for MTV, educational videos, and the Home Alone 3 movie.
