Rissa has been friends with Beth forever-really. But Rissa starts to feel like Beth and the other girls are becoming mean and annoying. So Rissa decides it is time to stand up for herself. But maybe doing this a few days before middle school starts isn't the best idea. Now Rissa has no friends, a few enemies, and a mom who thinks Rissa might have gone too far. Can Rissa survive the year?
